c1938 Mickey Mouse Disney cartoon character vintage cardboard cut-out stand-up, copyright "W. D. Ent." - abbreviation for Walt Disney Enterprises frequently seen on early Disney items. RARE early version of Mickey with his hunting cap on, strolling along with a presumably loaded double-barrel shotgun over his shoulder! Hopefully, Mickey has taken a NRA gun safety class! Captioned on the bottom _____ .
Small stand-up cut-out has a single tab with the caption at the bottom center with dotted-line fold points – and folded in to provide support for the base. Cut-out measures 2-1/4" wide x 2-1/2" high.
From the back-side, it looks like this might be a cereal box cut-out premium, but it could also be from a paper-doll book or game. Whatever it is, the copyright mark and the drawing style of this image of Mickey date it to the late 1930s, if not earlier.
