Lovely vintage Schall and Co. pewter pansy flower ice cream mold - No. 269 in the Schall catalogue. Nice dark pewter patina outside and great detail, with nice sharp cuts, of the pansy flower inside.

The initials S&Co and the mould number 269 are clearly visible on the back. Schall & Company, founded in 1854 in Paris, France, was the first manufacturer of ice cream moulds maker in Europe. In 1860 the company became Krauss Co., but continued to mark its molds with the S&Co initials.

This is an individual portion size mold measuring 4-3/8" wide x 3-3/4" high.
