Japanese Satsuma Earthenware Bottle Form Vase, a Flared and Scalloped Rim, a Flared Foot and Two Ornate Handles. On the front panel it features a house by the water, the back panel has flowers. We are fairly certain the Vase was made during the Meiji Period from the foot rim and color, it also has a recessed base. The raised enamel is wonderful and is the design. Please look over all pictures as they are part of the description.
The Vase stands almost 10 1/4" inches tall and measures 5 1/5 inches in diameter at its widest point.
Condition: It is in very good condition with what appears to be a missed area of paint on one of the front handles. It does not feel like a chip and you can see when looking into the inside where the brush stroke stopped. Very minor wear.
