A lovely little Victorian seed pearl swallow carrying a tiny diamond on the top of his head with two tiny little ruby eyes. The swallow is set into a crescent of graduated natural seed pearls mounted on a gold open cut basket which sits proud. The whole is set in an 18K Yellow gold frame and is secured with a fully functional pin and rollover clasp.
The brooch is hallmarked 18K just under the clasp in the inside edge of the basket
The brooch has a diameter of 2 1/2 centimetres and weighs 7.5 grams
