A porcelain figure of dwarf peasant woman in a lace bonnet and appearing to be nibbling on a small piece of cake. The figure is unmarked but has great color and detail in the style of the Derby mansion dwarfs. It should date to pre-1890 since it bears no country of origin as required by the McKinley Tariff Act of 1891. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, breaks, or repairs. It stands 4 3/8" tall.
