A gorgeous blue & white stoneware relief moulded jug by Copeland of Stoke, Staffordshire, England. The jug has a British Registration diamond showing the date of July 24, 1868 and Schiffer;s Encyclopedia of Marks verifies that registration date mark to Copeland. The impressed "COPELAND" mark is still barely visible above the diamond. The jug is in excellent condition and has the original Brittania lid with a white button thumb lever to raise and lower the lid. It measures 7 1/2 inches high (19.2 cm).
