A large, hand-painted, octagon-shaped Limoges porcelain dresser box from Italian designer Richard Ginori with ormolu brass mounts. The lid has a floral scene that is framed with a cobalt band with gilt hearts. The base has a similar cobalt and gilt band. The interior has another floral painted scene. The hinged lid opens and closes well but it is slightly warped so the box will not close tightly unless the clasp is tightened. There is also a 1 inch hairline in the center of the lid. The box measures 6 5/8 inches (17 cm) x 4 inches (10.25 cm) x 1 5/8 inches (4.1 cm). The bottom has a blue crossed arrow Porcelain de Paris mark as well as an inscription in French stating hand-painted by Richard Ginori.
