DESCRIPTION: From Staffordshire, UK, by way of Crown Staffordshire, this sweet HandPainted Jam Jar is perfect for the weekend summer breakfast table.
On white bone china, blue and purple florals are handpainted with beautiful accent green leaves. The arrangements are of three cascades at top, three small sprays in center, and three individual blue flowers at bottom. The lid is of two cascades and two sprays. A fine line of gilding is applied to the jar rim and lid finial. We believe this dates to the 1920s and is in pristine condition, a handpainted piece that is absolutely delightful!
WHY I LIKE IT: On pristine white porcelain under a brilliant glazed finish, the blue and purple florals are perfectly placed. The arrangement shows excellent design proportions to create a moderne contemporary 'look'.
