DESCRIPTION: Welcome Spring! From the Queen Anne series of Shore & Coggins, Longton, Staffordshire England, this fine bone china cup and saucer set is vivid in design and color. The pattern is named “Azalea”.
On pristine white porcelain, the vintage cup and saucer displays brilliant azalea flowers in shades of pink, mauve and yellow. Lush greenery and stems enhance the dramatic with design precision. Under a shiny glaze, the flowers glisten with beauty.
The floral pattern continues inside the footed based cup; the rim and handle are decorated in gold and provide a simple contrast to the florals. The shape of the cup is fluted and interesting. The upswept saucer is a lovely continuation of design, perfectly matched to its decorated cup and rimmed in gold.
WHY I LIKE IT: The florals are bold and vivid; a standout on the dining table. We appreciate the design’s splash of color and representation of the graceful azalea bush that traditionally announces the cherished spring season.
