DESCRIPTION: Personally, there are days when I wear a favorite brooch with jeans and a shirt or sweater, and always receive a compliment. Whether I select a costume or fine jewelry piece, the simple addition of a brooch to an outfit is what being a tastemaker is all about. This favorite fashion accessory is one you won’t see every day and when you do, it’s most often in the office or at an evening event. Adding a brooch to your most casual outfits, whether to run errands or while on vacation, is a fashion statement to be noticed!
This vintage Trifari Brooch, crafted of silvertone, features faux seed pearls (25) set in the round with exterior prongs and a twist interior setting. The design is contemporary with a flair for classic elements.
Trifari was founded in 1910 as Trifari & Trifari, by Gustavo Trifari and his uncle. In 1930, Alfred Phillipe was hired as head designer whose talent was inspired by his prior experience as a designer for high end jewelry houses. Until his retirement in 1968, he created and patented affordable unique pieces that boasted a blend of glamour and sophistication, and were highly coveted. The company was sold to Hallmark in the late 1970s and a new chapter of Trifari history began.
WHY I LIKE IT: The design is an excellent example of classic jewelry that is simply timeless.
