DESCRIPTION: From Royal Worcester England, this set of six (6) salad/dessert plates are carefully enameled and very colorful!
The pattern is called “Melba”and carries the distinctive Royal Worcester styling. Each plate is hand-enameled to create fine details and depth vs transferware styling.
On white porcelain, the pattern displays a cream rim that shows details with green urns of pink roses connected with turquoise leaves. The rim is also turquoise with purple lattice and floral design that contrasts nicely with the rim. A fine line of turquoise enamel can be found on the edge and center of plate, defining the white porcelain interior.
WHY I LIKE IT: This is a delightful pattern and vibrant as the day it was created. The enamel artistry is from an era when such details and excellence were proudly associated with Royal Worcester.
