DESCRIPTION: This pair of vintage D’Orlan pierced earrings are intricate and beautiful. The design boasts 55 faux stones: in white, turquoise and orange solid color (across the center); and purple, green, red and blue crystals. Each color is carefully set into a geometric panel and together, each panel forms the overall design. The gold tone is textured to add further detail and intrigue.
D’Orlan Jewellers Ltd. was founded in Toronto Canada by Maurice Braden in 1957. Braden was highly trained and produced quality costume jewelry. In 1984, he partnered with the Nina Ricci enterprise of Paris, France. The partnership manufactured jewelry that is 22K triple-plated over pewter base metal, resulting in exceptional consistent color.
WHY I LIKE IT: The tiny faux seed stones create an overall design that is bold and interesting. The earrings are versatile and can be paired with colorful necklaces or a simple gold necklace.
