Vintage Schumann “Empress Dresden Flowers” Small Sugar, Dresden ca. 1950s - image 1 of 15

DESCRIPTION: From the Carl Schumann Porcelain Factory of Dresden, Germany, their rendition of Dresden Flowers remains as popular today as it was when created. The “Empress Dresden Flowers” pattern dates between 1945-1981.

This small Sugar Bowl with Lid in “Empress Dresden Flowers” pattern is a wonderful vintage piece, in nearly perfect condition and appears hardly, if ever used. The pattern is of colorful Dresden flowers encircling both sugar and lid, with white porcelain showing through to accent each floral. The piece is trimmed in gilt where you’ll find glimmering gold on the scalloped edges, round center, and top of finial.

WHY I LIKE IT: Pieces such as this are typically replacements to an original dinnerware set. I also enjoy using them as decorative art in the living room, desktop, or master bath. Filled with a variety of items (such as mints, paper clips, cotton balls or bath salts), these vintage pieces add charm and beauty to every decorating style.
