When only the best will do –this finely crafted Gorham sterling silver baby spoon is the perfect regal gift to welcome a new baby into the world! With graceful elegance associated with 18th Century France, the stately “Chantilly”pattern was first introduced in 1895 and produced through 1950. It remains one of the most popular flatware patterns in the world. The intricate design is embellished with a cascade of deeply carved boarders showcasing a slender raised central panel along the handle and a more substantial open panel that can be (and has been) monogrammed near the tip, which is crowned with a delicate fleur de lis.
The pattern was designed by the renowned William Christmas Codman and is a stunning addition to traditional and formal interiors and nurseries.
This antique sterling silver spoon is monogrammed with the letter “R” and is in fine condition.
Why I like it: Oh…to be born with a silver spoon.
