Antique Haviland HandPainted Berry Bowl, Limoges France, ca. 1893~1930 - image 1 of 8

DESCRIPTION: Once a berry bowl, this intricately decorated porcelain piece will make a fine accessory to accent your favorite small mahogany, granite or marble table.

The shape of this bowl is scalloped and outlined in gilt. The gilt pattern repeats below the ¾” band of floral design. The floral design features blue garland scrolling above rust and orange cartouches with subtle shades of green leaves.

In center is a floral medallion that combines both design elements with perfection. The design is a very effective combination of transfer and handpainting.

WHY I LIKE IT: This porcelain bowl is an excellent ‘stand alone’ accent piece that can be placed on a table lamp (as shown) with beautiful results. And of course, it will gracefully hold fresh summer berries on your breakfast table.

Backstamp(s): Decorated by Haviland & Co Limoges (in red overglaze) 1876-1930; Haviland France (in green underglaze) 1893-1930s

CIRCA: 1893-1930

DIMENSIONS: 5” diameter

CONDITION: Excellent to Very Good. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Very minor wear to gilt.

As always, please don’t hesitate to email with any questions or to request additional photos.
