DESCRIPTION: Upon fine bone china, this oval Aynsley brooch depicts a medley of traditional English florals gently placed in a lovely bouquet. The brooch is rimmed in a glimmering 1/8” gold border and glazed with an illustrious sheen. This charming brooch is unique and the perfect fashion accessory to wear at your next summer soiree.
Perhaps you own an Aynsley cup and saucer set of the same floral pattern? The John Aynsley & Sons company of Longton, Staffordshire, UK operated between 1775-2014. The company produced fine tableware and decorative porcelain and represented the best in fine china manufacturing. Belleek Pottery Group (Ireland) bought the company in 1997, retained the Aynsley brand, and closed the original factory in 2014.
WHY I LIKE IT: The size is substantial and looks lovely on a flowing dress, pashmina, or your favorite summer top. Rather than wear as a brooch, one may also run a gold chain (as shown but chain is not included in the sale) between the clasp and porcelain to wear as a vintage summer necklace…
BACKSTAMP(S): In original Aynsley presentation box.
DIMENSIONS: 2” x 1-5/8”
CONDITION: Excellent. No chips, cracks, crazing, repairs.
