DESCRIPTION: Step back into time and be inspired by one of America’s most historic and beloved areas, Colonial Williamsburg. A national treasure, this special place chronicles and preserves 18th century life in a significant and masterful way.
Stoneware was found throughout colonial and early American homes. This set of chambersticks, thrown and shaped by hand, are fine examples of moderne salt-glazed stoneware accented with cobalt blue and inspired by the past. A replica of chambersticks used in the era, today’s process mimics that of European and American potters with accuracy, detail and styling that represents Colonial Williamsburg as only it can.
WHY I LIKE IT: Since childhood, Colonial Williamsburg is one of my very favorite places in America. This is where my appreciation of history began and decades later, the sense of place continues to inspire. This set of chambersticks is a reminder of American history and brings the past to vibrant life within a moderne lifestyle.
