DESCRIPTION: Yellow Daisies! This antique 8” dinner/luncheon set portrays a trio of yellow daisy clusters painted on each plate. On white porcelain, the floral design is connected by a 1/8” wide outer gold border accenting a baby blue 3/8” border that is outlined in a fine line of black. The design is symbolic of the era with clean lines, simplicity, and appealing mixture of color to present your luncheon or dinner fare. After a century, the gilding still sparkles and the glaze has kept each plate in remarkable condition.
PLEASE NOTE: These items were part of a collection, of the same pattern and design, that we curated together. All pieces are available for lot sale in our shop; please email if interested in purchasing all or multiple lots as reduced pricing will be extended. We separated the collection because the 'blanks' originated from three countries (Japan, Germany & France) and collectors may have a preference. During the era, when porcelain china pieces were broken/chipped through use or travel, replacements were ordered and handpainted on demand. The 'blanks' used by the china painting company were sourced as available or contracted.
WHY I LIKE IT: It’s simply rare to find an antique set of handpainted china in wonderful condition that was clearly well-loved and carefully used. The story of this china continues into your own home where it is perfectly suited for afternoon tea sandwiches and cakes, to mix into your moderne table setting, and a collection to be proud of.
