DESCRIPTION: This vintage Celery Dish from Selb, Bavaria, Germany hails from the Cacilie Porcelain Decorating Workshop. On white porcelain, the vintage piece features an art deco inspired design. The handpainted pale yellow border is offset with black linear detailing and pink apple blossom florals. The vintage celery dish is rimmed in gold to add a finishing touch of elegance. Cacilie pieces are almost always decorated on Hutschenreuther blanks.
Why I like it: The contemporary shape is very moderne, eighty years on. I love to decorate with celery dishes because of their versatility. On a dining table, add your favorite sauce, fresh cut vegetables (celery, of course) or appetizers. On a side table, float vibrant rose blossoms or add a porcelain flower (as shown, but not included) in this unique piece.
