DESCRIPTION: From Minton, “Haddon Hall” is their most successful printed design sometimes called a “ 20th Century Triumph”. The design was painstakingly re-created in 1949, by John Wadsworth, from Haddon Hall (Derbyshire) tapestries with 13th Century inspiration.

On white bone china, the outstanding design represents the Minton perfection and superb quality sought by serious collectors worldwide.

The chintz florals are brilliantly set in a classic and colorful pattern. The beauty of colorful combinations of mauve, blue, yellow and green is vivid and significant. This lunchon set is edged in delicate brushstroke with a lovely shade of green that complements white china and the distinct “Haddon Hall” design.

The blanks (whiteware) are molded in fluting and swirls, a delightful and detailed accent. “Haddon Hall” was produced for 60 years and there are blank variations; we favor this particular one. It adds depth and refines the design. The Minton glaze further sets this bone china apart with incredible sheen and fine finish.

The round cup is flat based with loop handle. The swirled saucer is upswept and the matched set is rimmed and accented in green. The luncheon plate is sized for light fare or salad course and will mix nicely with your moderne china, or charger of solid color.

SIZE: Cup: 3-5/8" plus 7/8" handle x 2-1/8" H. Saucer: 5-1/2" dia, Plate: 8-1/4" dia

Minton's China Works, of Staffordshire UK, was founded in 1793 by Thomas Minton and become one of the most prestigious producers of bone china. Minton’s China Works merged with Royal Doulton Tableware Group Ltd in 1968; it was acquired by Waterford Wedgwood in 2005 along with Royal Doulton assets.

WHY I LIKE IT: We love Minton for so many reasons…high quality and design are just two. Whether beginning your Minton collection or adding to, “Haddon Hall” is a timeless design that inspires afternoon luncheon in the company of a dear friend.
