Vintage Royal Tuscan Cup & Saucer Set, Royal Tuscan, Longton, England ca. Mid-Century - image 1 of 8

DESCRIPTION: On bone china, this heavily gilded cup and saucer set is classic and elegant. The tapered cup is footed and sits on an upwardly curved saucer with scalloped edges. Both pieces feature a lovely rose floral design and a ½” gold border with elegant design. Gold accents are applied to the cup’s inner rim, foot and handle. The shiny glaze finish accentuates the design and reflects the brilliance of gold.

The company that produced this piece was Plant & Baggaley – R.L. Plant & Sons – Plant Bros – R.H. & S.L. Plant Ltd; Royal Tuscan is a trademark name. The company operated between 1895-1970 when it was then acquired by The Wedgwood Group who retained the Royal Tuscan trademark.
