DESCRIPTION: This piece is a small antique oval bowl from Limoges, France. On white porcelain, the inside of the bowl is ivory color, outlined with gold designs and brushed gold trim. The dainty design is accented with three sprays of mauve florals that are embellished with handpainted white accents.
The A. Klingenberg & Charles L. Dwenger company operated 1882-1914. The Limoges factory was owned by Klingenberg where product was made. In cooperation with New York based Dwenger, the company had an extensive export business shipping product to the U.S. from France and Austria.
WHY I LIKE IT: In a bedroom suite that features either modern or traditional colors, this antique will become a lovely addition to your night table or vanity. Its simplicity makes a beautiful stand-alone piece.
