Here is a framed etching by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst in excellent condition. Brockhurst built a reputation as the world’s most expensive portrait painter, and he adapted some of his portraits as etchings. He was strongly influenced by portraits of the Italian renaissance, and his touch with the engraver was so fine that his images look almost photographic. The size of the frame is fourteen by sixteen inches, and the visible image is seven and a quarter by nine and a half inches.

A warm welcome! Please consider all our offerings, and feel free to inquire about more information. We’re always buying, so let us know if you have early porcelain items to sell.
