Here is a splendid set in stunning condition. The deep purple panels are set off brilliantly by the rococo gilded backdrop, and the top surfaces are molded with scrolls and leaves. The cup shows no signs of ever having been used. The gilt inside is perfect. The gilt on both rims is perfect. The gilt ridges in the well of the saucer show some dullness from the cup sitting in it, but the gilt is intact. On display this set glows from across the room with the intensity of a kaleidoscope. The saucer is large, at six and a half inches. Diameter of the cup is four and one-eighth inches. In some of the photos the gilding looks green, because it is reflecting the color of the backdrop, but it is all bright and brilliant.
