Here is a fine and large antique porcelain cup and saucer decorated with several bands featuring small scrolls. They have very typical flower bouquets on the sides of the bowl and in the center of the saucer. There’s also a butterfly for any insect lovers out there! The colors are puce, purple, green, red and orange, with touches of black added here and there. There are a few remnants of a gilt rim but most of that has been worn away. The gilding was likely added later in England when the set arrived there. Both pieces are in fine condition. I’d estimate these as probably dating to about 1790. The shapes are lightly fluted and both are larger than normal. The saucer is a little over six inches across.
