This teapot has a sophisticated outline that’s very unusual and appealing, and the decoration is also unusually elaborate, with large bouquets and sprigs in an artistic style. The handle reminds me very much of Longton Hall teapots, but I doubt there is a direct connection. The craftsman who made the teapot might have seen a Longton Hall teapot and admired the shape of the handle so much he used it himself. It is five inches high. There are several excellent repairs, invisible to the eye: the bottom of the tip of the spout, the top half of the handle, and part of the rim of the lid. The finial looks to be a partial or whole replacement.
