Here are an interesting mystery cup and saucer that are both marked with a puzzling capital “H” on the bottom. The decoration is classically inspired and has strong colors. I would date it to the years around 1800 but it could be earlier. I’m not familiar with a mark like this, and it's a very bold mark, but if someone can send me information about the maker I’d appreciate it. It might refer to the decorator and not the factory. The saucer is five and three-eighths inches across.
