Bright and bold as this decoration is, it will really stand out on a shelf. The saucer is nearly five and a half inches across and the birds are well-painted in a multitude of colors, as are the butterflies and beetle and . . . other insects. The cup, which has a pleasant scrolling outline, is incised 29 and 84 in addition to the Vienna shield mark, and the saucer is incised 15 and 98. There is some gilt wear (as shown), which is normal, and some small spots of wear to the enamels, but otherwise it is in excellent condition.
