Here is an antique 18th-century porcelain set of cup and saucer with unusually strong colors that to me are very reminiscent of the Ansbach factory, where quite similar decorations of birds occur in a sometimes unusual and bright palette. There is no factory mark, but the number three is impressed on the bottom of the saucer. If not Ansbach (which I think it is), it is certainly German or Thuringian. Close to perfect condition, with minimal wear. The saucer is five and three-eighths inches across. A bright and very unusual set.
