Perhaps it’s fortunate for us that two porcelain factories in Coalport sat just across the canal from each other, because their competition produced some excellent teapots! This is one of them. It is eleven inches long. The teapot by itself is six and three-quarters inches tall. Sitting on the stand, it is seven and one quarter inches tall. The decoration is in superb condition. It's in the Imari style, a Japanese approach, using basic colors with bold design to make a grand impression. The finial on the lid has some repair (shown), and there are hairline cracks in the bottom of the teapot (shown), but that's not to make any apology for the looks of this very attractive and desirable teapot with an Asian feel. The matching stand is also in excellent condition.

A warm welcome! Please consider all our offerings, and feel free to inquire about more information. We’re always buying, so let us know if you have early porcelain items to sell.
