This attractive teapot has no maker’s mark but the shape and the pattern are Worcester C.1790, and thus more than likely produced during the Flight period. The most curious thing about it is the small letter E painted in black inside the bottom rim. I’ve never seen this kind of mark before and I have no idea what it might mean. The teapot is in splendid condition, with only very slight wear to the gilding and tiny chips to the base ring. It stands seven inches tall. Has anyone seen this mark before?
