This set shows off wonderfully the softly colored overglaze enamels that are so highly regarded on porcelain from the Chelsea factory. The rim of each piece is outlined in brown, and the design features one larger bouquet with smaller sprigs sprinkled around, plus a fully open butterfly inside the handleless teabowl and on the saucer. Inside the teabowl is a small portion of a sticker from the British Antique Dealers Association—used to authenticate antique pieces that are sold at BADA-sponsored events. Condition is exceptionally fine, with no wear to the decoration, but there is a minuscule glaze chip to the brown rim of the teabowl at three o’clock in the photos. The saucer is four and three-quarters inches across at its widest point.
