This piece from a rarely seen factory may have been a tea canister or some sort of kitchen container, perhaps a container for tobacco. It is too large for a tea caddy. The lid is obviously missing, but even so it’s a rare survivor from a French manufacturer that is not often encountered, and the flowers are lovely. There’s no wear to the decoration, but on the back near the top is a line where the glaze has been damaged. It stands three and three-quarters inches high.
