Here is a knockout set of cup and saucer from the early days of the Meissen factory. Both pieces are basketwork-molded at the edge, the cup has a Baroque handle with lots of design flamboyance, and both pieces are decorated in Meissen’s best floral style with large European flowers: single roses and sprigs. The saucer is five and a quarter inches across. It has a repaired chip on the rim (shown). There is very light wear but no other damage.
