This set was made in Venice in the 18th century at the factory started by Geminiano Cozzi. The decoration imitates oriental porcelain, from the years before the European porcelain makers had developed their distinctive native designs. This design is a typical one for Cozzi. It shows up in all kinds of variations of color and gilding. Both pieces have no damage but there is slight gilt wear. The saucer is four and five-eighths inches across.
