This is a fun set, with silver resist decoration of a band of leaves. Each saucer is three and three-quarters inches across. The shape of the cups suggests a date in the 1820s but it could be earlier than that. Each one is a little different shape, testifying to the fact that they were turned on the potter’s wheel by hand. I apologize for the photos. I couldn’t get the silver luster to show well. The four cups and two of the saucers are in excellent condition. One saucer has a hip on the footrim underneath, and the other has a footrim chip and noticeable wear to the luster band.
