Here is a charming porcelain set, the cup with a crook handle, printed in purple with a scene of a young girl or woman in a garden setting, trying to distract her hungry cat’s attention away from an innocent but very vulnerable bird. The scene is highlighted by hand in green with overglaze enamels. Condition is excellent with no damage but there are a few tiny spots of wear to the decoration. The saucer is five and a half inches across.
