In the 18th century the Meissen factory made numerous miniature figures for collectors, and the owl is one of the harder ones to find. In fact, it is very rare. This example is unmarked, two inches high. Slight glaze wear. A very similar one sold at Sotheby’s as part of the Baillie Collection on May 1, 2013.
