Bent under the weight of his daily supply of meat, this tradesman is on his way from the market to his shop so he can open for his customers. He stands only four and seven-eighths inches high and is marked with an impressed 21D. Some glaze wear but no chips. In the reference book Ludwigsburger Porzellan this figure is number 252 , described as Metzger geschulterte (Butcher shouldering meat).
