This wonderful figure symbolizes marital bliss, with the loving couple just getting ready to share a little kiss. It was created by Carl Gottlieb Lück as a seated couple embracing, the lady wearing a white dress decorated with red and gilt flowers and her companion wearing a white jacket and waistcoat with puce breeches, both sitting on a grassy base with stonework and tree stumps, edged with gilt-edged scrolls. It is 16 centimeters high. Also, the technical mastery of the modeling is amazing, with even the tiniest elements of the figures designed to exact proportions. A firing crack in the base has been fortified to prevent breakage. Condition is excellent. There are repairs to the tips of several small branches. She is missing part of the little finger of her right hand. The hilt of his sword has been repaired. I've also included a photo of this figure on the cover of an auction catalog.
