These two classically styled boys hold a large cornucopia (to display an abundant fall harvest) and an overflowing basket. This figure would have been part of a set illustrating the four seasons. It is eight and three-quarters inches high and is dated 1779 on the bottom, along with the factory mark. The foot projecting out on the left side has been repaired, and that boy’s head has been reattached. The back rim of the basket has been repaired, along with several leaves and some leaves on his head. Substantial firing cracks underneath are originally from the firing in the kiln.
