Although technically referred to by the term “drabware,” pieces of this type are attractive—not at all drab! This reticulated plate features a romantic alpine or woodland scene printed in the center of the eight-inch plate. It dates from 1815 or thereabouts, and is likely from Staffordshire. It is in good display condition apart from surface chips to two loops (one shown).
