Here is a wonderful pair of ornate brass-mounted glass candlesticks. The bases include jasperware cylinders made by Adams, one of the notable rivals of Wedgwood. They show classical scenes of women and cherubs, and they are exactly alike, so you can display the set as perfectly matched or rotate one of them to show different scenes. Several layers rise from the base, with crystal drops and various additions of cut glass. They stand eleven and a half inches high. There’s no damage, but the top element on each one, the part where the candle fits, is a replacement in an authentic antique style appropriate for this model and size.
