Here is a cute pair of artichoke-molded pots that could be used for custard cups during the dessert service, or perhaps as pots a creme for other liquid treats. Or whatever the hostess decided! The tips are glazed with blue and gilt highlights. Each stands two and five-eighths inches tall. No damage, but there is slight gilt wear to the high points. Both the bodies and the lids all have the incised letter B on the bottom for the Barr period at Worcester. They were formerly in the collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art and bear the museum’s red accession numbers on the bottoms.
