Here is a large soup plate in a restrained design that incorporates design motifs from classical Rome. Swags of greenery are suspended from golden rings attached to the pink rim band that has scrolls added in a darker tone of the same color. Rose sprigs are strewn on the surface, with a larger rose arranged in the center. Condition is great, with no chips or cracks, though there is some wear to the gilding on the edge. It is large, at nine and seven-eighths inches in diameter. I also illustrate a tureen I saw online that probably comes from the same service.
