Toby jugs traditionally show a jolly seated man with a container of beer or ale in one hand and a pipe in the other. This fellow has both hands grasping his beer and no sign of a pipe, which is perhaps why he doesn't look as jolly as he might. Details are good—you can even see the foam coming out the top of the mug. The colors include yellow, black, green, blue, brown and red. This example is 10 inches high and could hold a lot of beer if that's what you're after. Most people will set him on a shelf just for his cheery looks. No chips or cracks, but a few spots of brown have been touched up on his coat. Get him home and see if you can heft a few!

A warm welcome! Please consider all our offerings, and feel free to inquire about more information. We’re always buying, so let us know if you have early porcelain items to sell.
