Here is an appealing plate with the pattern number on the back as well as the impressed Davenport mark. Davenport was one of the major purveyors of wares to the United States and this plate probably was intended for the American market. There is slight roughness along the edge where the stilts supported the plate during firing in the kiln. This was to keep the ceramic body and glaze from sticking to the surface it was sitting on. Superb condition, almost as fresh as the day it was made. You will never find one in better condition.
