This hand-painted pattern is one of Worcester’s earlier ones, imitating the design of Oriental porcelain on a four-lobed shape with shell handles and an artichoke finial, and painted in dark blue with the Rubber Tree Plant pattern of fruiting vines, fleshy leaves and flying insects. The well-shaped stand is nine and a quarter inches in length and the tureen four and three-quarters inches tall. They both bear Worcester blue marks in imitation of Chinese reign marks. Excellent condition, with a pinhead chip on the footrim of the tray that probably occurred when it was made. Otherwise pristine. Not a scratch on the tray or the tureen.

A warm welcome! Please consider all our offerings, and feel free to inquire about more information. We’re always buying, so let us know if you have early porcelain items to sell.
