This extremely decorative and popular pattern is a rendering of trellises for training hop vines, whose berries are used most notably in the brewing of beer. This eight and a half-inch plate has one of the most appealing of the Worcester patterns, based ultimately on a design popularized by the Sevres factory in France. It is marked with a small script W in blue on the reverse. Very good condition, with a little wear to the enamels and a very faint hairline on the back.
