Tastefully decorated with flower swags suspended from the rim all the way around, this is an English hard paste porcelain dessert plate about eight inches in diameter. The glaze shows pitting and unevenness, not unusual for Bristol, but the decoration is still in good condition except for light surface wear. There are two very faint hairlines from the rim which are hard to photograph. All Bristol wares are quite rare and this piece comes from the eminent collection formed by Frank Arnold and sold at Sotheby's in January of 1964.
